Dr. Ashleigh Areias is a Northern California native, originally from Los Banos. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2018.
Dr. Areias is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with her patients, and she takes great pride in delivering the highest quality of care. She is committed to lifelong learning, regularly attending continuing education courses and study clubs to stay at the forefront of dental advancements. Dr. Areias has pursued advanced training at the Pankey Institute, where she has deepened her expertise in restorative dentistry, comprehensive care, and the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) and facial pain. She works closely with physical therapists and personal trainers as needed to help patients manage and alleviate head and neck pain, ensuring an integrative approach to their care.
In addition to her dental expertise, Dr. Areias is passionate about nutrition and fitness. As a certified nutrition coach, she understands how nutrition affects not only overall health but also the health of your teeth and gums. Dr. Areias enjoys guiding patients on how to make dietary choices that can help prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues. She's always happy to answer any questions about how nutrition and dental health go hand-in-hand.
When she's not in the office, Dr. Areias enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their four-year-old pup, Donner. They love to ski, hike, surf, and travel to visit family and friends across the country.
